Akanin’ny Nofy: A Haven of Peace
Much to the delight of nature lovers, the rainforest of Andasibe National Park is home to rare and endemic species such as “Indri Indri” or “babakoto” which are among the 25 most endangered species of primates in the world.
The private reserves of Peyreiras and Vakona forest lodge also present a fascinating biodiversity: chameleons, frogs, lizards, islets with lemurs, crocos park.
The crossing of the Pangalanes Canal to reach Akanin’ny Nofy (or the “Dream Nest”) is peaceful and quiet and is known for the warm and cheerful welcome of the Betsimisaraka people that will be crossed along the canal.
Before reaching the capital for a much more cultural discovery, the sun and the sea of Foulpointe are absolutely to discover.

ANTANANARIVO – ANDASIBE
Departure to Andasibe, the closer park of the Capital.
Stop and visit of the private reserve of Peyreiras to discover varieties of chameleons and reptiles existing in Madagascar.
Possibility of nocturnal visit to meet : uroplatus, batraciens, chameleons, microcèbes, stick insect.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel..
Day 2
ANDASIBE
Visit of the National Park of Andasibe to meet the biggest Lemurs of Madagascar « indri indri », the fulvus, the bamboo-lemur or the hapalemur griseus and variety of reptiles in a rainy forest : lush vegetation, Tree ferns…
In the Afternoon, visit of the Lemurs’ Island at Vakôna Forest Lodge.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3
ANDASIBE – MANAMBATO – AKANIN’NY NOFY
Driving to Manambato, the dock to Akanin’ny Nofy.
Crossing the Ampitabe Lake. Observation of lush vegetation, Tree fern…

Visit of “le Palmarium”Private Reserve : forest of palm tree, carnivorous plants, lemurs

Free morning.
Early in the Afternoon, crossing the “Canal de Pangalanes” to go toTamatave.
During the trip, you will have the opportunity to find lush vegetations (niaoulis, typhonodorum or éléphant’s ear, bulrush, pandanus), and birds : ducks, herons…

TAMATAVE – ANTANANARIVO
Transfer to Tamatave’s airoport and Flight to Antananarivo.
Depending on the flight Schedule, discovery of the Capital and its neiborhood : The Upper city, the Craft Market
